How to inject anabolic steroids (HCG and HGH are different)

All oil-based and water-based anabolic steroids must be administered intramuscularly. This means the injection must penetrate the skin and subcutaneous tissue to reach the muscle itself. Intramuscular injections are used when rapid absorption of the product is desired. The most common sites for intramuscular injection are the buttocks, the outer thigh, and the deltoid region of the arm. The muscles in these areas, particularly the gluteal muscles, are quite thick.

Due to the large number of muscle fibers and extensive fascia (fascia is a type of connective tissue that surrounds and separates muscles), the drug has a large absorption surface area. Absorption is further enhanced by the abundant blood supply to these muscles. Ideally, intramuscular injections should be administered deep into the muscle, away from nerves and major blood vessels.

injections-steroids The best place for steroid injections is in the gluteus medius muscle, which is located in the outer upper quadrant of the buttock. The iliac crest serves as a landmark for this quadrant. The injection site in adults is typically 7.5 centimeters (2 to 3 inches) below the iliac crest. The iliac crest is the upper part of the pelvic girdle on the posterior side. You can locate the iliac crest by palpating the upper bony region above each gluteal muscle.

The upper outer quadrant is preferable because the muscle in this area is quite thick and contains few nerves. The likelihood of injecting the medication into a blood vessel is low in this area. Injecting in this location reduces the risk of injury to the sciatic nerve, which runs through the lower and middle part of the buttock. This nerve controls the back of each thigh and the entire leg from the knee down. If an injection is too close to this nerve or actually touches it, extreme pain and temporary paralysis can occur in these areas. For this reason, it is important to stay as far away from this area as possible.

If for any reason it is impossible to inject into the buttocks, the second option is the lateral thigh. Intramuscular injections in the thigh are usually only indicated for infants and children. The lateral thigh muscle is the area to be injected intramuscularly.

This area is determined using the knee and the greater trochanter of the femur as a reference point. The greater trochanter is the bony area you can feel where the femur joins the pelvic girdle. The mid-portion of the muscle is located by measuring the width of your hand above the knee and the width of your palm below the greater trochanter. Injecting into the front or inner thigh is extremely unwise. These areas contain nerves as well as a number of blood vessels.

Which needles to use?

It is important to choose the appropriate syringe for administering anabolic steroids Injectables. The main components of a syringe include a cylindrical barrel and a plunger to which a hollow needle is attached. The recommended syringe for anabolic steroid injections is a 22-gauge (1 1/2-inch) or 23-gauge (1-inch) syringe with a 3 cc reservoir.

This length allows for deep penetration to reach the inside of the muscle tissue. Shorter needles, 5/8 or 1 1/2 inches, are generally insufficient for intramuscular injections.

The gauge size of a syringe refers to the diameter of the needle. The smaller the number, the wider the needle. A 27-gauge needle is very thin. An 18-gauge needle is quite wide; it is often referred to as a "barrel needle." Both 22- and 23-gauge needles are thin enough to be easily inserted and wide enough to allow solutions to be propelled.,

  • Glute injection: 23 gauge, 1.5-inch needle length
  • Thigh injection: 25 gauge, 1-inch needle length
  • Deltoid injection: 25 gauge, 1-inch needle length

Injection procedures

There are a number of steps that must be followed in order to proceed with a injection Safe and proper intramuscular administration. First, before handling needles or vials, the user must take a thorough shower. Next, an alcohol swab should be used to clean the injection site, and another alcohol swab should be used to clean the rubber stopper on top of the vial. Then, take a new syringe, remove its plastic tip, draw approximately 2 cc of air into it, and insert it into the vial of your anabolic product. Injecting this air into the vial will create pressure and make it easier to draw up oil-based preparations. Then, turn the vial upside down and slowly draw up the oil until you have at least 1/4 cc.

For example, if someone were to take a 1 cc injection, they should draw approximately 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cc of liquid. Then, tap the side of the syringe to help any air bubbles drawn into the syringe rise to the top. At this point, the remaining 1/4 to 1/2 cc can be injected into the vial and the needle removed.

Next, hold the syringe without the needle, tip upwards, and continue tapping to encourage any air bubbles to move to the top of the syringe. Now, replace the needle with a new one. The needle is not damaged when pushed through the rubber plunger on the vial. It is important not to touch this needle before the injection. It should not come into contact with a countertop or your fingers, and it should not be cleaned with alcohol.

This needle is sterile and should not be touched. At this point, once again swab the injection site with alcohol, then press the syringe plunger while holding the needle sideways until all air bubbles have been expelled. Once a trickle of oil appears at the tip of the needle, allowing it to flow from the surface ensures lubrication.

At this point, take the syringe and hold it like a dart. Use your other hand to stretch the skin over the injection site and then push the needle in until it penetrates. After inserting it deep enough into the muscle, pull back on the plunger for a few seconds to ensure it doesn't fill with blood, which would indicate that the needle had been injected into a blood vessel.

If there is no blood in the syringe, slowly press the plunger until all the oil is injected. Then, quickly remove the needle and take another alcohol swab and firmly press it against the injection site. This will minimize any bleeding, if present. Applying firm pressure and gently massaging the injection site can also reduce some of the pain. It is important not to inject the liquid too quickly, as this will cause more pain during the injection and in the days that follow.

Once this step is complete, replace the plastic caps to protect the needles and ensure they are stored properly (either for disposal or to be taken to your pharmacist). To avoid excessive scarring at the injection site, it is not advisable to inject more than 2 cc of solution per dose. It is also not safe to use the same injection site more than twice a week (once a week is preferable).

Tips and preparations

  • Always warm the vial or ampoule to body temperature before injection. You can do this by placing it under your arm for about five minutes or by placing the vial in warm water.
  • Just before injecting, push the piston to allow a drop of liquid to form on the tip of the needle and let it drip down the needle. This lubricates the needle with the oily solution from your anabolic steroids.
  • Position the tip of the needle (open in a V) towards the top of the body.
  • If you wish, you can numb the injection area with ice before proceeding.
