How to inject anabolic steroids (HCG and HGH are different)

All oil-based and water-based anabolic steroids should be taken intramuscularly. This means that the injection has to penetrate the skin and the subcutaneous tissue to enter the muscle itself. Intramuscular injections are used when rapid absorption of the products is desired. The most common places for an intramuscular injection are the buttock, the lateral side of the thigh, and the deltoid region of the arm. The muscles in these areas, especially the buttocks muscles, are quite thick.

Due to the large number of muscle fibers and an extensive fascia (fascia is a type of connective tissue that surrounds and separates muscles), the drug has a large absorption surface. Absorption is further promoted by the large supply of blood to these muscles. Ideally, intramuscular injections should be given deep into the muscle, away from major nerves and blood vessels.

injections-steroids The best place for steroid injections is in the gluteus medius muscle which is located in the upper outer quadrant of the buttock. The iliac crest serves as a landmark for this quadrant. The spot for an injection in adults is usually 7 1/2 centimeters (2 to 3 inches) below the iliac crest. The iliac crest is the top of the pelvic girdle on the posterior side. You can find the iliac crest by palpating the upper bony region above each gluteal muscle.

The upper outer quadrant is preferable because the muscle in this part is quite thick and contains few nerves. The likelihood of the drug being injected into a blood vessel is low from this area. Injection into this part reduces the risk of injury to the sciatic nerve that runs through the lower and middle part of the buttock. This nerve controls the posterior part of each thigh and the entire leg starting at the knee. If an injection is too close to this nerve or actually affects it, extreme pain and temporary paralysis may be felt in these areas. It is for this reason that you should stay as far away from this area as possible.

If for some reason it is not possible to inject yourself into the buttock area, the second choice is the lateral thigh. Usually, intramuscular injections into the thigh are only indicated for infants and children. It is the lateral muscle of the thigh area that must be injected intramuscularly.

This part is determined using the knee and the greater trochanter of the femur as a landmark. The greater trochanter is the area of bone that you can feel where the femur meets the pelvic girdle. The middle part of the muscle is found by measuring the width of the hand above the knee and the palm inferior to the greater trochanter. Injecting into the front part of the thigh or the inside of the thigh is extremely unwise. These areas contain nerves as well as a number of blood vessels.

Which needles to use?

It is important to choose the correct syringe for the administration of anabolic steroids injectables. The main components of a syringe include a cylindrical body and a plunger to which a hollow needle is attached. The recommended syringe for anabolic steroid injections is a 22 gauge [1 ½ inch] or 23 gauge [1 inch] syringe with a 3 cc casing.

This length allows for deep penetration to reach the inside of the muscle tissue. Shorter needles, 5/8 or 1 ½ are usually not sufficient for intramuscular injections.

The size of the gauge of a syringe represents needle diameter. The smaller the number, the wider the needle. A 27 gauge needle is very thin. An 18 caliber is quite large, it is often referred to as "a cannon". The two calibers 22 and 23 are thin enough to be easy to insert, and wide enough to allow solutions to be propelled,

  • Glute injection: 23 gauge 1.5 inch needle length
  • Thigh injection: 25 gauge 1 inch needle length
  • Deltoid injection: 25 gauge 1 inch needle length

Injection procedures

There are a number of steps that must be followed in order to proceed with a injection safe and adequate intramuscularly. First of all, before handling the needles or vials, the user should take a full shower. Next, an alcohol swab should be used to clean the injection area and another alcohol swab should be used to clean the rubber stopper on the top of the vial. Then take a new syringe, remove its top plastic part, draw about 2 ccs of air into it and insert it into the vial of your anabolic product. Inject this air into the vial, which will create pressure in the vial and make it easier to draw oil-based preparations. Then turn the bottle upside down and slowly pull out the oil until you have at least 1/4 cc.

For example, if someone were to take a 1 cc injection, they should draw about 1 1/4 tbsp to 1 1/2 tbsp of liquid. Then, tap on the side of the syringe to help the air bubbles that have been drawn into the syringe to rise to the top. At this time, the excess 1 / 4-1 / 2 cc can be injected into the vial and the needle withdrawn.

Then, hold the needle-less syringe head up and continue tapping to encourage any air bubbles to come into the top of the syringe. Now exchange the needle for a new one. The needle does not suffer any damage when pushed through the rubber plunger on the vial. It is important not to touch this needle before the injection. It should not come in contact with a counter or your fingers, it should not be cleaned with alcohol.

This needle is sterile and should not be touched. At this point, once more swab the injection area with alcohol, then push down on the plunger of the syringe, holding the needle to the side, until the air bubbles are completely out. . Once a trickle of oil has appeared at the top of the needle, allowing it to flow off the surface of the needle provides lubrication.

At this point, take the syringe and hold it like a dart. Use the other hand to stretch the skin over the injection area and then push the needle in until it penetrates. After inserting it deep enough into the muscle, pull back on the plunger for a few seconds to make sure it does not fill with blood, which would have indicated that the needle has been injected into a blood vessel.

If there is no blood in the syringe, slowly press the plunger until all the oil is injected. Then quickly withdraw the needle and take another alcohol swab and press firmly on the injection area. This will help minimize bleeding, if it occurs. By pressing firmly on the injection area and massaging a little, some of the pain can be reduced. It is important that the liquid is not injected too quickly as this causes more pain during the injection and in the days that follow.

Once this step is completed, put the plastic caps back to protect the needles and make sure they are stored correctly (to then throw away or take to your pharmacist). To avoid excessive scar tissue on the injection site, it is not wise to inject more than 2 tbsp of solution per dose. It is also not safe to use the same injection site more than twice a week (once a week is best).

Tips and preparations

  • Always warm the vial or ampoule to body temperature before injecting. You can do this by placing it under your arm for about five minutes or placing the vial in hot water.
  • Just before the injection, push the plunger to allow a drop of liquid to form on the end of the needle and allow it to flow onto the needle. This will lubricate the needle with the oily solution of your anabolic steroids.
  • Place the end of the needle (open in a V) towards the upper body.
  • If you want, you can numb the injection area with ice before proceeding.
