Dosage

The usual dosage of testosterone propionate in male athletes is in the range of 50 to 100 mg per injection, with the product administered every two to three days. Like all testosterone esters, testosterone propionate is commonly used at a cumulative weekly dose between 200 mg and 400 mg. This dosage is sufficient for most users to notice exceptional muscle and strength gains.

Testosterone propionate is a synthetic injectable form of the primary male androgen testosterone. The added propionate ester will slow down the rate at which testosterone is released from the injection site, lasting only a few days. Therefore, testosterone propionate, compared to other esters such as cypionate or enanthate, is much faster-acting and requires a much more frequent dosing schedule. Side effects

Testosterone easily aromatizes in the body into estradiol (estrogen). The enzyme aromatase (estrogen synthetase) is responsible for this metabolism of testosterone. High testosterone levels are likely to produce androgenic side effects, including oily skin, acne, and hair growth. Men with a genetic predisposition for hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) may notice accelerated baldness.
