Clomid is composed of clomiphene citrate. Clomiphene citrate is not not an anabolic steroid but a synthetic estrogen hormone which is used in bodybuilding in order to fight against a number of hormonal imbalances caused by taking anabolic steroids. Clomid helps restore the normal level of testosterone after the cycle and prevents the estrogen present in the body to act and thus makes it possible to avoid the effects related to it, of which in particular the gynecomastia.
Clomid is primarily a fertility drug that was created to stimulate ovulation in women who have difficulty getting pregnant. This molecule also has the property of stimulating the production of endogenous testosterone in humans inside the testes, by increasing the secretion of the hormones LH and FSH. It is this last property that interests bodybuilders because they undergo certain hormonal imbalances when they use steroids, and especially when these steroids are strongly androgenic.
